EPA to Regulate Milk Spills Just like Oil Spills

File this under, You’ve Got To Be Kidding Me!!!

From Yahoo! News: EPA to Regulate Milk Spills Just like Oil Spills.

Just another example of the runaway train that is the EPA. If this doesn’t make you sit up and take notice, then we’re in trouble.

An insurance policy covering pollution on milk costs the same as covering petro products. The implications for groundwater contamination and toxic pollutions aren’t as egregious, but if a tanker of milk lands in a body of natural water, it kills a lot of the wildlife, and the remediation is similar to oil. Clearly a milk spill isn’t going to be as harmful as an oil spill, just because it doesn’t travel in the same kinds of quantities, so hopefully the reduced amount of care necessary will keep the price of dairy from spiking too badly.
